Global Student Voice Rules
Teacher Assistance
Students, regardless of age/grade, may only have minimal help from teachers. Minimal help consists of things like: editing, technology use guidance (example-teacher gives students tips for how to app smash something for their project but the students actually do the work of putting things together), safe site navigation, and posting of the project online. Students may bring items from home to utilize in creating their projects but they may not receive help on projects at home. All project work is to be done in class. Students may work independently, or in groups of 2-3. If working in groups, all permission forms must grant permission for each student's work to be posted in order for the project to be entered.
Anonymity
The competition will be voted on like the television show, “The Voice” where no one knows who created what project. For this reason, student names, faces, or anything that identifies them may not be displayed on projects in any way. The goal is to keep projects completely anonymous. Voices may be utilized in projects as they are harder to identify.
Due Date
All projects must be posted the week of April 20-24. Projects must be posted by Friday the 24 at 5pm.
Voting
Voters may vote on as many projects as they wish for both for K-2 projects and 3-5 projects by "liking" the project video on the Flipgrids for each grade range. It is recommended that voters view all projects before voting to give all participants equal opportunity. Voters should follow the honestly policy and vote on each project only 1 time. Voting may take place from April 20-April 29 after all participants have had a chance to enter their project video onto the Flipgrid. Winners in both the K-2 and 3-5 categories will be announced and notified Friday, May 1. The winners projects will be posted on this website per the grade level pages for the remainder of this year and they will receive a monetary donation made in their name to a charity or cause of their choice that matches their project topic through the GoFundMe Global Student Voice campaign https://www.gofundme.com/f/fkjdc9-global-student-voice-students-making-a-difference?utm_source=customer&utm_medium=copy_link&utm_campaign=p_cf+share-flow-1
